At the first days of April 2006 Guru-host started hosting servers in Athens, Greece too allowing us to implement a great disaster plan for high availability servers plus the extra option for European clients to host their web sites and applications somewhere in the UK or Germany.

BlueSquare Data operates a portfolio of carrier-neutral data centres in the South East of England. BlueSquare House is the original site for the BlueSquare data centre concept. Opened in
August 2006, at 10,000 sq.ft. in size, it provides up to 16 Amps per cabinet location with N+1 redundancy at all times.
Due to the success of BlueSquare, BlueSquare House reached full capacity within 9 months of opening, and currently operates a waiting list for new orders.

Nuremberg data center park has several corporate high-capacity data centers in that area as well as a datacenter park in Falkenstein, Vogtl which both are connected to each other. There are many redundant Internet connections to the largest German internet exchange DE-CIX, as well as direct connection to Telekom. This ensures smooth operation of your Internet presence regardless the hosting package as long as it is hosted within Germany. MedNautilus Greece sites encompass an area of more than 8000 m2 and are situated in Koropi and Metamorphosis in Attica and in Chania on the island of Crete. Guru-host offer only dedicated server hosting services in Mednautilus.
The MedNautilus Greece network (Aegean Network) comprises a portion of the MedNautilus Submarine Network .
Specifically, the Aegean network has three landing points (Aghia Marina, Vravrona and Chania) and two landing stations in Koropi and Chania, Crete.
It is a ring, therefore fully protected against any operational problems. MedNautilus guarantees network availability of 99,99%.
In the area of Attica, the Koropi landing station is interconnected with the Metamorphosis data center through use of a double routing fiber-optic connection. Our Metamorphosis, Koropi and Chania data centers comprise the perfectly monitored facilities where our clients can co-locate their IT and telecommunications equipment.
Using N+1 system back-up throughout each building, our facilities have been designed and built to meet the most advanced international standards, in accordance with NEBS requirements (Network Equipment Building Standards).

Fire detection and extinguishing systems
Our fire detection systems are based on local sampling units, located in the service areas and workrooms. In the event of a fire, the FM200 gas detection and extinguishing system is initiated. In the event of a gas system failure, this system can be put into operation by hand. In a very unlikely worst case scenario, a back-up “dry” water based system goes into service. The structure meets fire-proofing standards for up to four hours of fire.
Monitoring and control system
The BMS (Building Management System) monitoring and control system allows complete control over all building systems (electricity, air-conditioning, fire detection and extinguishing). The monitoring system operates 24 hours per day, utilizing various sensors located throughout the building to immediately detect any malfunction.
A Guarantee of security
All buildings are equipped with market-leading security systems providing entry control and intrusion detection, guaranteeing round the clock protection. Admission and exits to workrooms and servers are monitored by a central system utilizing “smart cards”, biometric cameras and other devices.
