The main advantage of VHCS over Cpanel is the fact that VHCS does not update itself automatically as it depends on the already installed packages.
This means that you have the total freedom of your installed packages. Also you can make use of HA Linux (High Availability Linux Project) and build an excellent cluster in order to achieve better uptime.

You can do/configure any server package on your system and VHCS will use it without changing anything on it. On the other hand Cpanel is doing updates very often and many times it does not work as expected. It also takes lot of time to do this as it compiles everything and use its own provided packages. Bugs are too many for a commercial project.

On the other hand Cpanel offer great support and has a superb support forum as well. VHCS luck of support and you must know what you are going otherwise you might get into serious problems!
The last months unfortunately VHCS team drop down support via their forum for some reasons and this is getting tricky when you are planning to deploy VHCS without having a clue about Perl, PHP and C which VHCS is build on.

If you have any comments related this article I would appreciate if you can drop me an email at admin [at] guru-host.com with your questions or suggestions.
